Florida-born, New England-raised Scott Smith is a soulful singer-songwriter based in Miami, Florida who shares about life in heartfelt, honest songs and thought-provoking, power-packed, inspirational talks. As a youth, Scott wrote poetry which later turned into lyrics as he pulled all-nighters making mix tapes and finding notes on an acoustic guitar that gelled with his singing. In the late 90’s he moved back to Florida and became front man and writer for Miami band (Shūfly) which opened for bands such as the Dave Matthews Band, Lenny Kravitz, Smash Mouth, Stroke Nine, Foreigner and Stabbing Westward to name a few. Scott has sang the National Anthem for the Miami Heat 3 times (including the playoffs) as well as the Miami Sol. He has played throughout Los Angeles, New England, Atlanta, Virginia and South Florida in festivals like the Hollywood Love Fest, Miami’s Art Basel and the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in which he opened for Gloria Estefan. He has also played at cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, openings, private parties, weddings, churches, fundraisers, benefits, hotels such as the Delano in South Beach and the Raleigh, and other venues such as the Purdy Lounge, Tobacco Road, Hard Rock Cafe, Van Dyke’s Cafe, Culture Room, Billboard Live, Power Studios, Sunrise Stadium, Miami Seaquarium, AAA Arena and more. Today, Scott tries to reach hearts through our common pains, triumphs, defeats and dreams with honest lyrics that are simple and poetic. He writes from the heart drawing inspiration from us all and is currently releasing songs from his new album, A Lover Still, online (iTunes, Amazon, GooglePlay, Spotify) as well as performing live.
